K3 double-tap A>B does not set data sub-mode?

I have noticed the same issue with my K3 when using the front panel.  It also causes problems when trying to set VFO-B from DX Commander (part of the DXLab suite).  Through the CAT interface, when I set VFO-A to Data-A and then swap the A and B VFO's, VFO-B remains in FSK-D sub-mode.
