Initial reactions -
1) After solving the "run home to momma" loader message the firmware loaded easily.
(OT - In the movie "Hunt for Red October" a sonar analysis program plays a role. It interprets sounds as humping whales if it cannot assign another source. The savvy operator says the program "runs home to momma" when it's stumped.) A destination directory for the firmware files didn't exist, so the loader gave me the "missing files" message.
2) Transmit audio processing seems smoother. A dynamic mic is used so the wire added per the alert from Eric shouldn't matter. (s/n 699) I still don't sound like Sean Connery...
3) Love the wider AM bandwidth.
Will try FM next.
