Situation resolved. Kudos, as always, to the vigilant and knowledgeable
guys monitoring this reflector.
For others who have a K3 / P3 setup, you may wish to familiarize yourself
with the bootloader operation and sequencing of the combined pair of units.
Had I not assumed I knew 100% how this worked first (I was only 85% right)
and had been prepared for the new process, I might have avoided the glitch.
