While going through the Config menu's I came across
RF nor KNB3 and RF nor KBPF3 entries. For the life of me I can't remember, or find in the documentation what the "RF" bit does. 73 Stewart G3RXQ ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

If you tap the SUB button, and have sub Rx installed, you'll see RF change to Sub to indicate the status of the option in the KRX3. 73, Lyle KK7P ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Although Sub is obvious, I don't immediately associate RF with the Main RX. Main or even MN might be clearer I.M.H.O. 73 Stewart G3RXQ ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Perhaps "Sub" and "Pri" (for primary).

I remember it by thinking that the main board in the K3 is called the RF
board. So thus the main RX is the RX on the RF board. ~Brett (N7MG) (Previously KC7OTG) On Tue, 2010-05-25 at 18:02 +0100, Stewart wrote: > On Tue, 25 May 2010 09:20:26 -0700, Lyle Johnson wrote: > > > >> While going through the Config menu's I came across > >> RF nor KNB3 and RF nor KBPF3 entries. > > > > > > It means this is the main (RF board) KNB3 or KBPF3. Yes, that should work.
The only issue is that my warped mind thinks of Sub Pri (Prime) - more nightmares ! 73 Stewart G3RXQ On Tue, 25 May 2010 14:46:19 -0400, drewko wrote: > Perhaps "Sub" and "Pri" (for primary). > > 73, > Drew > AF2Z > > > On Tue, 25 May 2010 10:47:24 -0700, Lyle KK7P wrote: > >> >>> Although Sub is obvious, I don't immediately associate RF with >>> Main RX.
