How does it differ from the KX3?

Alan,
The K3 mini prototype was at Dayton last year too. It has the same front panel as the K3, but is not nearly as deep as the K3/0. 73, Don W3FPR On 2/23/2014 10:35 AM, Alan Price wrote: > How does it differ from the KX3? > 73 > Alan > W1HYV > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

And now might be a good time to remind folks that the K3/0 mini is not a
radio by itself... It is a control panel, for a "real" K3, just like the now available full-sized K3/0. It is to be used to control a remote K3. pictures on twitter: https://twitter.com/elecraft/status/327112919525490690/photo/1 Bruce, N1RX > Alan, > The K3 mini prototype was at Dayton last year too. I'm pretty late to the K3 game due to a decade or
so focusing on other things than ham radio. I thought I knew that the K3/0 had to do with remote control and took the first message with subject "K3/0 Mini" to refer to a mini K3/0. The earlier ones on the "K3 Mini" were a bit confusing. Thanks for the clarification! 73, Phil w7ox (K1 #18, K2 #380, K3 #8004) On 2/23/14, 8:03 AM, Bruce Beford wrote: > And now might be a good time to remind folks that the K3/0 mini is not a > radio by itself... Read carefully. Reference to K3/0 Mini. Its a front panel only for remote operation of a K3/10 or K3/100

But my first thought when I saw it was, "Wow! A KX3 RF board with the full K3 Front Panel would ROCK!" :). -kb7psg On Sun, 23 Feb 2014, Bruce Beford wrote: > And now might be a good time to remind folks that the K3/0 mini is not a > radio by itself...
