Anyone using the latest version of HRD - 6.2? Their advertising says
there in K3 and Kx3 support. Can anyone tell me what they have improved? I am still running an old 5.xx version that only partially support the K3. When/if HRD fully supports thatK3 I will immediately purchase an up-to-date version of HRD. I only use HRD for rig control, so all the other stuff is just fluff to me. The older versions, and I am told the more recent versions also, do not fully support the K3's controls or indications of control selections. Any comments? I've been using the 6.1.x for a few months now.
Seems to play with the K3 just fine. Unlike you i mostly use it for logging/cluster/digital and not so much for rig control... I like the K3 knobs and my new 73cnc.com weighted VFOs. __________________ Slava (Sal) B, W2RMS [hidden email] On May 13, 2014, at 8:31 PM, Bill W2BLC <[hidden email]> wrote: > Anyone using the latest version of HRD - 6.2? I use Win4K3. It works extremely well in rig control for the K3 and you don't pay for all the fluff nor have to pay a yearly fee for
ongoing updates. If you use the entire package then it is a very nice program in my opinion but awful expensive for just rig control. Actually I use Win4K3 for rig control and connect the rest of the package to access the K3. It works much better than the one that comes with HRD. Plus it allows several applications to use it at the same time. 73, Tim Herrick, KQ8M [hidden email] AR-Cluster V6 kq8m.no-ip.org User Ports: 23, 7373 with local skimmer, 7374 without local skimmer Server Ports: V6 3607, V4 Active 3605, V4 Passive 3606 -----Original Message----- From: Elecraft [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Bill W2BLC Sent: Tuesday, May 13, 2014 8:31 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: [Elecraft] K3 - newest release of HRD Anyone using the latest version of HRD - 6.2? I use Win4K3 as well. It does an excellent job of rig control PLUS it integrates well with the complete K-Line..... I can control the K3, KPA500, KAT500, and P3 all from my computer.....even remotely. If you want bells and whistles then HRD might be your ticket.....BUT for just rig control with a few extras.... Win4K3 may be just the cat's meow for you...

I am running 6.1 and it looks to me like the K3 is well supported, I
have found no deficiency with HRD where the K3 is concerned. I typically do not use a lot of features on the radio panel, mostly working with the logbook and DM-780 for RTTY and the digital modes. 73s Jim, W4ATK On 5/13/2014 7:31 PM, Bill W2BLC wrote: > Anyone using the latest version of HRD - 6.2? Dear Jim,
Do You see support of sliders for high cut and low cut? How about control of compression? How about control of settings for noise reduction?
