K3 options compatible with K4D

Charlie T, K3ICH

Sorry if this has been already answered, but are there any K3/K3S options that are compatible with the K4?

For example, should I keep the transmit monitor board and sensor?

I doubt it. Where the TX MON board go?  There’s no O3 and no SVGA module.

I too wonder about the sensor.

The K4 will work with all K3 accessories:

   - MH4 microphone
   - SP3 (but we'll also be offering an SP4)
   - KPA500
   - KAT500
   - KPA1500
   - Kpod (connects to a USB port on the K4)

The K4HD uses the same style of crystal filters used in the K3, so it may be possible to reuse some of them.

Transmit waveform monitoring is built-in for the K4 itself, and for any external amplifier that has a TX monitor output (like the KPA1500).

Amps that don't have a TX monitor output will require an external signal tap. We may offer one, but I can't put a date on that yet.
