K3 owners that have built a K2

Chuck Guenther
I built the K2-10 (s/n 5853) with lots of accessories for QRP CW.
Assembling the K3-100 was a piece of cake, compared to the K2.

Just a couple of days ago, I finished hooking the two together for
dual-receive
(I haven't yet purchased a KRX3).  This application was inspired by
G4AON's reflector message dated 7 Aug. 2008. It's the first time I've
ever tried dual receive and I'm having fun with it.

(Thanks, Dave, for your clear description).

73,
Chuck  NI0C

K3 and K2 dual receive

G4AON's dual receive involves a K3 with the KXV3 option and a K2 as a secondary receiver (See http://n2.nabble.com/K3-dual-receive-without-KRX3-td679079.html#a679079). It requires a transverter option, KXV3, for the K3 - which I don't have - but I do have it for the K2, the KXV60.

With my setup it would be nice to do the opposite, i.e. let the K2 be the primary rig, but I suspect that it is not possible since the K2 does not have the RX ANT IN/OUT on the KXV60 as the K3's KXV3 has.

But my question to the group is, can I do dual receive with the K2 as the primary transmitting rig?
