I hope if at all possible, it will work with a Mac and OSX
Realise this is probably not a high priority or perhaps you're looking at some form of CAT interface, but if at all possible, working with OSX would be much appreciated. And not looking for any commitments in any way, just looking forward to being able to order one 73 de M0XDF, K3 #174 -- Math Anxiety: an intense lifelong fear of two trains approaching each other at speeds of 60 and 80 MPH. -Rick Bayan On 29 Dec 2008, at 17:51, wayne burdick wrote: > Ralph Tyrrell wrote: >> I hope your panadaptor does not need a computer connection. > It will work either way. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Yes, I'll second the desire for an OS X version of the Panadapter.
It's fantastic that there's an OS X version of the K3 Utility. I hope it's a trend that Elecraft will continue with all future software products. 73 -- Joe KB8AP On Dec 29, 2008, at 2:48 PM, David Ferrington, M0XDF wrote: > I hope if at all possible, it will work with a Mac and OSX _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Another vote for a Mac OSX version when it appears.

Just to add my 2 cents - the 'openess' of the K3 and it's supporting software to the Mac and Linux has been a real boon. I happen to use Cocoamodem for digital modes on a mac, and the ability to use the K3's utility program on that platform was a selling point for me. The same would be true of any Panadaptor or Bandscope option. Overall, the availability in kit form, along with the continued development, both in firmware and in new modules, is what sold me on the K3, vs the likely next Ten Tec I would have gotten. I missed out on the whole Heathkit thing in ages past - for me, this is Heatkit on steroids.
