Got my K3 by USPS priority at noon today. Ordered 10-22-2007, shipped 04-11-2008. Just about to start calibration of the synthesizer. Took about 6 hours to get to this point. This radio is a great pleasure to build as was the K2 and I'm sure even more fun to operate. My thanks to Elecraft for such a great radio.

Got mine a few days ago.
When mounting the DSP to the front panel there is a large washer over the phone shaft. Cannot get a tight fit between this washer and the back of the front panel. Yes I am using the correct stand offs. Is something missing on page 34-35? Depart from that it is a real joy to handle this nice piece of engineering art. Well guys,
Problem solved (or soldered). The small red delta TX LED was so misaligned I had to remount it, now it all fits nicely. For all of us living outside NA there is a minor error on page 17 where 3/16" is calculated to be 17 mm which of course is wrong, should read 4.7 mm. 73 Len SM7BIC and No 708 -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]]För Lennart Michaëlsson Skickat: den 15 april 2008 10:23 Till: Elecraft List Ämne: [Elecraft] K3 and the front panel Got mine a few days ago. for all such typos, please do let Ron know - he will correct them in
next version - he read this reflector, but a direct mail will ensure he see it - won't it Ron? :-) 73 de M0XDF, K3 #174 -- A person usually has two reasons for doing something: a good reason and the real reason. -Thomas Carlyle, historian and essayist (1795-1881) On 15 Apr 2008, at 11:25, Lennart Michaëlsson wrote: > Well guys, > Problem solved (or soldered). > The small red delta TX LED was so misaligned I had to remount it, > now it > all fits nicely. > For all of us living outside NA there is a minor error on page 17 > where > 3/16" is calculated to be 17 mm which of course is wrong, should > read 4.7 > mm. > 73 > Len > SM7BIC and No 708 _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
