This weekend I noticed that the CW sound was distorted and full of artifacts. This was listening to my own sending via headphones, keying was via N1MM through the serial port.
I'm using MCU 2.22 / DSP 1.88. Any thoughts? thanks, Julius Julius Fazekas N2WN Tennessee Contest Group TnQP http://www.tnqp.org/ Elecraft K2/100 #3311 Elecraft K2/100 #4455 Elecraft K3/100 #366 _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. So I assume you are using one serial port to control the K3 and another to
key it? Perhaps the PC is busy doing other task at times. This is why a lot of hams buy the Winkey keyer. I've been able to get by ok by using the parallel port on the pc and the LPT adapter from Hose Nose. I haven't noticed too much in the way of distortion.
But the leading edge of CW elements is decayed with NR on. It seems to me that DSP 1.81 works much better with MCU 2.2x 73 Hank K8DD ----- Original Message ----- From: "Julius Fazekas" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Monday, August 11, 2008 10:05 AM Subject: [Elecraft] K3 rough note on CW monitor This weekend I noticed that the CW sound was distorted and full of artifacts.
