I think that most of us understand. As first shipments of a new product
near, more and more small issues pop up and these need to be corrected - so
the initial optimistic schedules slip. However, I've always found that the
best engineers are optimistic engineers. And it is always better to miss an
optimistic schedule than it is to miss a pessimistic schedule.
