K3 speaker audio just died

KJ9C
I recently used my K3 for 16 hours mobile, and the internal speaker acted normally. Iused the front speaker jack occasionally when on SSB.

I put it back on the desk, plugged in the external speaker (with stereo plug), and operated for an hour. Everything worked fine. Later that day I turned on the K3 and no audio from either internal or external speaker, but the headphone jacks still work OK.

However, I noted a few weeks ago that the strip with the phono and mic jacks wobbles.... I looked inside but could find no easy way to tighten it up. Maybe it's been that way all the years I've owned it and I just noticed. But the internal speaker should still work with SPKR+PH set to YES.

My S/N is 23xx so it probably does not have the resistor modification.  I suspect a problem with the audio circuit.

Any idea of where to start looking? Thanks
