K3/ steppIR

Martin Staffa
I am sure some one has run into this problem before, How would I go about
connecting my the computer to run along with the controller for my steppIR
to the K3

You need a Y cable. SteppIR sells them, or you can build one. The schematic is on the
SteppIR site.

Does SteppIR now support the K3 or does it work ok using the Kenwood
protocols?

On my SDA 100 I selected KENW for my K3. There was no option for Elecraft.

Mine worked fine with the y-cable and the Kenwood protocol(that's before ZEUS got to it.
