K3- suddenly lost AM sensitivity - bug - partial fix

Don Rasmussen
I have no ATU, but I've experienced this. It seemed to me like the KBPF was not activated. Until one of us can reproduce the effect at will, it will be difficult to correct and we will not know when it's fixed.

[Elecraft] K3- suddenly lost AM sensitivity - bug - partial fix

Hello

After the high bands fade out;  I usually do some MW listening... this
evening - the rig is decidedly insensitive on both the K3 and KRX3 - both
with general coverage and 6 khz filters.  PREamp helps - but not enough -
TS-2000 beside the K3 is normal ( levels are about 3 x stronger). signals on
80 meters are normal.
I reloaded all firmware/DSP etc to no avail.
A station that should read 9 plus 10-20 db reads 4.  ATU is bypassed.
Attenuator off.

Fixed  - still posting this for those who might find the same thing -
changing mode to LSB immediately made the K3 come-alive - and still ok when
going back to AM....

Note - band changes, K3 on/off; firmware reload did NOT change things.  I
consider it a 'minor' bug
