K3 :: switching between data modes

I notice that if I select <DATA A> mode and set the bandwidth to, say, 1.5
kHz, then rotate the B VFO through the several data modes, upon returning to
<DATA A> I have to readjust the bandwidth control once again.

Have I missed a setting that allows the <DATA A> bandwidth to stay 'sticky'
for that mode setting?
