K3 to VL-1000 AMP

Anyone driving a Yaesu VL-1000 (Quatro) with a K3?
Wonder if there is an interface available to drive the AMP for Band
Selection.

I am considering buying an FL-7000 for my Elecraft K3 (serial number 2891).
But now I am afraid that I will not be able to use band data for my K3 to
control the FL-7000. Could you please tell me if it is possible or not? And
if possible please tell me how.

The band switching interface of the FL-7000 is the same as
that of the newer Yaesu Quadra.  N0SS has interface info
for the Quadra on his K3 web site: www.n0ss.net/index_k3.html
This link: www.n4ats.com/?download=D4000019_Schematic.pdf
shows the conversion from the Quadra "Band Data" jack to
the FL-7000 "Band Data" jack.  Molex connector body and
pin part numbers are available on the N4ATS web site to
build your own cable.
