display telephone Caller-ID. Then I could instantly decide if the caller was worth interrupting my radio activities for. ;o)" Already part of the K3. Turn the K3 upside-down. The RJ-11 is located on the bottom-right side of the transceiver. Simply plug the phone line into it and caller-ID displays right above the S meter. An active phone line carries -48V battery and ~ 90VAC/20 Hz ring voltage that can, and probably will, damage the K3. End of disclaimer. Thank you, Dick
Programming was not what I intended to learn. Now the quickest way goes like this: =Open Elecraft K3 Utility =open Edit / Command tester Macros =Type for Macro 1 - Text to send - pc005; (do not forget semicolon) =Type for Macro 2 - Text to send - pc100; =Save Now it is easy to toggle by clicking Macro 1 or 2 between 5 and 100W. = Hide Utility to PC low-edge command-line. This way it is ready for rapid action, and screen is normally free. Benny OH9NB K3 # 119 ____________________________________ Dick Dievendorff kirjoitti: > Benny, perhaps I was misunderstood. Sorry to reply to a 10 day old post. I've been on holiday. But I thought I should mention that this is just the kind of thing the "Shortcuts" in KComm were intended to achieve. Each shortcut is essentially a macro of K3 control commands that is sent when the entry is double-clicked. I have shortcuts for all the power levels I use. But if you wanted you could label them for modes and have them send a mode change as well as a power level.
