K3

wsm-3
Hello
It's me again. As you can tell, I'm in over my  head
with the K3. Can you turn off the receiver input and
tramsmitter output with a menu item? If so how do you
turn it back on?
I have receiver noise, but no receive signals and
the transmitter keys in cw mode and have side tone
but no power output.
Any ideas ?

Make sure you have the correct antenna selected, or you will not hear
signals. If you have the KXV3 you can also select a separate receive
antenna, so that's another thing to check.

For transmitting, you must have VOX on to send CW. Also make sure the TX
icon isn't flashing -- that could mean that you are in Test Mode.
