K3 with MMTTY and microKEYER I

My new K3 #3223 is up and running 'mostly'.

The short of it is that the K3 outputs a solid tone (like tune) when keyed by
MMTTY instead of FSK tones. MMTTY keys the radio OK and the tone produces
power out of the radio.

I am new to the K3 but not to MMTTY and microkeyer Router. (Past FT1000MP user)

K3 is set for DATA/FSK D

MMTTY (ver1.65D) is set for COM-TxD(FSK). The comports follow the MH router
settings. The radio selected is Kenwood. MMTTY does read the frequency so I
feel they are talking.

microKEYER Router is set at CAT com3 and FSK com5 with PTT checked. Audio
switching is BBB. The green LED's on the MK are flashing with the FSK output
it is just not making it to the radio.

Earl,

MMTTY is soundcard generated data. Use DATA A or AFSK A (same as DATA A
but optimized for RTTY).

The FSK D data mode is for true FSK generated using the keyer paddles,
or the DIG 0 ACC input or ASCII data through the RS-232 port.

See the K3 manual section on Data Mode Selection.

Not entirely true. MMTTY can operate in "soundcard" mode
(AFSK), "UART" mode (FSK) or both at the same time. The
determining factor is the "TX Port" setting on the MISC
tab. "Sound" selects AFSK, "COM-TxD(FSK)" selects FSK
(if the proper COM number is selected for PTT & FSK on
the TX tab) and "Sound + COM-TxD (FSK)" selects both modes
of operation (e.g., using FSK but enabling the audio tones
for monitoring).

microHAM interfaces provide "true" FSK (e.g., an on/off
keyed signal) to the DIG 0 (FSK) input on the ACC connector.

Joe,

Thanks for the corrections.
It appears that his problem may be setup parameters, and what is
selected on the K3 must match that being generated by the computer and
the massaging that the interface may do as well.
