K3LowRX WhenKPA500 is in OPER

Probably a cable mess up on my part. Before I go through heroic efforts to
move the operating desk can anyone offer any help or advice.
The receiver is fine when the KPA500 is turned on but in STBY. When it is
switched to OPER the RX drops from say S9 to S3. Any ideas?

As I've read earlier, likely an issue with the T/R switching diodes in
the amp.   Contact Tech Support at Elecraft.

I agree with Bob.  This exact problem occurred with my KPA500 last year and
it was the switching diodes.  Support offered to send the parts for me to
replace but I opted to send the amp in for repair.  Support was a pleasure
to deal with.
