K3S Microphone Cable

john@kk9a.com
Thanks to everyone for the quick responses and product suggestions. When
bought a MicroHAM Micro2R years ago to replace a Top Ten DXDoubler I used
the old Top Ten cables. For years I had rotator controller noised getting
into my headphones and I recently noticed that the headphone cables were
not shielded. I stared over making new cables using better headphone wires
and the rotator ramp noise is now completely gone. My next step is to add
mic cables to this device and I wanted to do it properly. K9YC's detailed
explanation was exactly what I was looking for.  I was not sure use if I
should I should buy one or two conductors and if two what to do with the
shield. This morning I purchased a 2 wire Belden mic cable and I will
probably buy the Foster connector that W3FPR listed. Also thanks to K4TAX
and KY5G for their excellent suggestions.
