I wanted to post this in case someone else on the mailing list runs into the same issue.
Although my laptop was detecting the K3S Audio Codec, the K3S audio card was not producing any signal on my laptop. As a result, my DM786 was not detecting any CW or digital signals from the K3S.
The Main KIOSB, Audio I/O and Digital I/O boards were all properly connected.
The problem turned out to be that I had not connected all the pins at Connector P50, which interfaces the Front Panel's DSP board with the RF Board on the far left side of the rig. There are two rows of pins and I had connected only one row. Everything appeared to be seated properly when I assembled the rig. But when I removed the left side panel and looked closely, as Howard K6IA suggested, I could see that I had missed a row of pins.
