K3S issue

Elecraft mailing list
Hello,
I have finished to build my K3S but unfortunately I am experiencing some issue.Everything seems to work fine as no errors are showing in the display and when I did the TX gain calibration it went ok with no errors.I have the ATU and 100W PA installed.Basically what is happening is, if I keep the power up to 12W everything is ok but when I increase the power (I hear the relay clicking to engage the 100W PA) the received signal just drops to almost zero.I have taken the PA apart again to check if there was any damaged pins but all looks ok.
Does anyone experienced this issue?
PS. The PA put out 100w as it should.

Matteo,

I had the same with my build years ago. Turned out that I crushed one of
the driver transistors while seating the amp. You might check that. I
believe it is located near the rear panel.

I was able to straighten it out and get it working until I received a
replacement from Elecraft.
