Hi,
I've been using my K3S for a few years now, and recently tried to record a friends signal using the Line Out stereo 1/8" jack on the back of the rig. However, there is no line level audio output on that jack. Like many, I use the USB interface for audio in/out when working digital modes, and wonder if there is some conflict between USB audio and being able to get Line Out audio on that back panel jack. Any thoughts? 73, Bob, WB4SON ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email]

LinOut is also on the USB cable. It would show as Audio CODEC on computer sound input devices.
Usually, USB IN/OUT use will disable if the 1/8 jacks are used (according to manual). Bill's (NR4C) feedback was the key, thank you!
My K3s was configured as LIN OUT=PHONES. With that setting installing the headphones would disable the Line Out jack on the back (perhaps thinking it might be attached to some external audio processor). Changing to LINE OUT=nor 010 keeps the Line Out jack operational independent of the use of the front panel PHONES jack. I guess the behavior in LIN OUT=PHONES mode is not described explicitly on page 22, 61, or 79/80 of the manual, which discusses the Line Out jack. I was impressed with all the extra hardware used for the Line Out jack (extra 24-bit DAC, audio amp, transformer, etc.). Maybe a brief note on these pages might help some future user. Thanks again Bill! 73, Bob, WB4SON On Tue, Aug 20, 2019 at 6:40 PM Nr4c <[hidden email]> wrote: > LinOut is also on the USB cable.
