K3s in 105F Field Day heat at K5WA

[K5WA]

Both K3s in our 2A effort worked flawlessly in the 105F degree humid heat of
southern Texas.  We even ran RTTY and I saw the PA temp hitting 61C with no
ill effects.  We used N1MM and the integrated MMTTY interface to knock out
109 RTTY contacts, 1535 CW contacts and 608 SSB contacts.   With bonus
points included, we'll be in the 8800 point scoring range.

 

Next year, we need to find a way to air condition our tents!  ;-)
