KAT-2 tuner

Joseph Trombino, Jr
Just about to begin building a new KAT-2 tuner....built one several years
ago and recall that there was a question about which side of the board to
mount R6 (47ohm).

Believe it was more convenient to mount it on either top or bottom in case
you had to make additional adjustments....just can't remember which side was
the most convenient one (senior moment I guess...grin)

Any suggestions???

RE: KAT-2 tuner

Don Wilhelm-3
John,

Make R6 a 470 ohm just in case you ever add the K60XV option.  The 470 ohm
is shipped with the K60XV, but the value in the KAT2 is 47 ohms.  Without
the K60XV installed you can use either value.
R6 is not installed until after some inital checks are completed - just
follow the manual instructions.  At the time the checks are done and you are
ready to mount R6, the KAT2 is already in place and it is easier to mount it
on the bottom of the board, but either side will work fine.  Except fo the
470 ohm info, all the proper instructions and notes are all in the current
KAT2 manual.
