In the world of resistance, there is no such thing as 'no reading' - a very
high resistance can be considered infinite while anything lower than
infinity has a valid value.
You meter has a high resistance limit, and that will vary with whatever
meter you are using. Look at what your meter indicates with the leads open
and that will tell you how you should interpret those very high resistances.
The KAT100 manual indicates that the points you mentioned should have a
resistance of greater than 100k ohms (>100k), and that could be anything
above 100k, even if that is the infinite resistance of an open circuit.
