KAT100 won't TUNE

r opdebeke
Hi Group,

I just build the KAT100-2 , after finishing the whole kit , I have the
following problem.
IT JUST WON't TUNE ..

I Did inspect all the resistance tests twice .
Checked all the components and the solderpoints.

Rechecked the cable PC <--> k2 <--> KAT100.

Aligning and test (P. 27 ) all OK
SWR bridge Null Adjustment just Fine .
Power Calibration all OK.

so , the K2 is communicating to the KAT100 .
The leds are responding to the ANT switch ( switching from ANT1 or ANT2 )
Also the HI and LO leds work.

I removed the KPA100 from the bare K2 (it has an KIO) and did the same test,
nut NO Tuning !!

Actually non of the SWR LEDS are lighting .

Where do I start signaltracing and HOW . ??

btw K2 5315, (2.04P 1.09 ) , KAT100 ( 1.05 )

btw communication from PC to K2 is OK also the aux-comm of the KPA100 is OK.

RE: KAT100 won't TUNE

Don Wilhelm-3
Roger,

Did you set the ATU menu parameter to TUNE?
Can you cycle through the ATU menu 'Lx' and 'Cx' parameters and make each
relay click individually? See page 34 of the KAT100 manual).
