I just installed the new chip for v1.07 from v1.03 on my KAT2. It
defaulted to ATU CALn mode instead of ATU Auto (of course, the
microprocessor doesn't know that I already did this once with the old
chip, right?). Do I have to repeat any of the calibration for the null
or power meter (forward & reflected)? The null is still reading the
same as what I had originally. I think all I have to really do is set
it to the ATU Auto setting and run with it, but just want to make sure.
I see that when using the tuner now it automatically drops the power
while tuning and then brings it back up to the set power. That in and
of itself was worth the upgrade so it is more automatic and one less
thing for me to forget about later. Also I was able to get it to tune
on 60m (oh, I'm not supposed to do that am I, oops!). Not sure what
other benefits there are with v1.07 compared with v1.03.
