KAT500 integration with K3 and KX3

Hello Elecrafters,

I have a both a K3 and a KX3. No KPA500 yet but is currently on the Christmas list :-). Question, how tight is the integration between the K3 or KX3 (assuming operation with the 100W amp) and the KAT500? Will I be able to use the ATU controls located on the radio to control the KAT500 (initiate tunning sequence, bring tuner online/offline, etc...)?
