KATU3 Beeps

When I hit the tune button to tune the ATU the beep is unbearably loud. How do I disable it? I searched the K3 manual, KAT3 manual, the manual erratta and firmware updates notes and the word 'beep' does not appear anywhere. I can't find it in the menu and config settings. Help! :-)

I believe it is the same level as CW sidetone, and can be set by going
to CW mode and then adjusting the MON level.

Elecraft calls them "switch tones".

Set CONFIG:SW TONE=OFF

My switch tones are off and I don't get beeps any other time, but I guess it doesn't disable the ATU tuning beeps. Lyle was able to tell me how to turn it down.

Huh. You're right: both the ATU Tune and the XMIT Tune functions
still beep even when CONFIG:SW TONE=OFF. I wonder if that's
intentional?

Sidetone and ATU-tone are also indicators that you are "on the air" (next to the traditional red TX light)
I think it is quite relevant to separate those from key-confirm-beeps.
