Hello,
Last Thursday I caught up with Steve, KD1JV, on his 400 miles section trek
of the Appalachian Trail. He did take out a 40 meter rig to operate from the
trail when he could do so. A few weeks into hike section hike he decided to
send the 40m rig back home.
Steve said that after hiking all day he just wanted to rest when they made
the shelter or hotel that they were staying in.
