KDSP2 firmware question

John Shadle
What is the difference between version 3.0 and version 3.1? Is it worth
the $29 + shipping to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 other than the reason of
saying "I have the latest firmware"? Is 3.0 buggy or not a full-featured
at 3.1?

Just wondering if someone can shed some light on this subject. I was
looking for a changelog but couldn't find one (maybe the manual for the
KDSP2?).

Thanks.

3.1 added a command feature supported by MCU rev 2.04 to allow toggling
NR and autonotch from the front panel without having to dig into the DSP
menus.  I don't recall if there was another feature added or not -it's
been a few years :-)

That feature alone is worth the upgrade as I regularly use, esp. on SSB.

:-)

I've been pretty deep into the KDSP3.  That's how I view the K3: a
platform for the DSP ...

Enjoy!
