Hi,
I have built the KDSP2 module and installed it into my K2. In the Denoiser Menu I can hear a distinct differens between nr 99 71 and nr 00 71 and also when changing the decay value. But in the Autonotch Menu I can't notice any difference in the audio regardless of the settings of Beta and/or decay. Do I have a problem here with module? 73 Rolf SM0YQC K2 #4979 _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Mine too. I probably don't understand very well the autonotch
feature, but if someone could help us with a test or a sound file where we could hear a demo.... One way to check it is to switch to USB mode and tune in WWV (10 MHz here)
and then tune 1 kc lower (9999.00). You should hear a hetrodyne. Then engage the auto notch and the hetrodyne should disappear. It does on mine. 73, Ken K3IU -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of JEAN-FRANCOIS MENARD Sent: Sunday, October 09, 2005 8:55 AM To: Rolf Cc: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [Elecraft] KDSP2 Mine too. The BEST way to determine if the AutoNotch DSP is running correctly, and I
sure it is, is to go to the 40 meter band when all those SW Broadcast Stations are transmitting and then engage the feature. You should hear no heterodynes. 73s john-n3drk Le 05-10-09 à 08:31, Rolf a écrit : > Hi, > > I have built the KDSP2 module and installed it into my K2. > In the Denoiser Menu I can hear a distinct differens between nr 99 71 > and nr 00 71 and also when changing the decay value. > But in the Autonotch Menu I can't notice any difference in the audio > regardless of the settings of Beta and/or decay. > > Do I have a problem here with module? > > 73 Rolf SM0YQC > K2 #4979 _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. You should hear no heterodynes. Well, I don't know about NO heterodynes. But it does knock them down about 30-40 dB. Since the signals are S9+20 or more, they certainly don't disappear, but they aren't nearly as painful to hear.
