I've now got a T1 installed internally in mt FT-817, admittedly I had to mount the "control panel'' externally.
If there's interest, I'll post some pictures. Now... I've not got the 817 adaptor thingy that reads the band data working yet. I chopped the plugs off it and have forgotten the T1 end connections... does RED go to tip or ring of the jack plug? <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Nigel A. It's working now, and the DNS registration doesn't expire for another month.
I wonder what happened? I've had some of my customer's domains "disappear" from time to time....sometimes it's been a matter of an error at the registrar...if the record for the domain disappears of gets modified...it's really busted. A quick email or phone call can usually resolve the problem. 73,Thom-k3hrn www.zerobeat.net Home of QRP Web Ring, Drakelist home page,Drake Web Ring, Free Classified Ads for amateur radio, QRP IRC channel, Drake IRC Channel, Elecraft Owners Database www.tlchost.net/hosting/ *** Web Hosting as low as 3.49/month _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Hi Nigel,
You did a beautiful job of integrating the T1 into your FT-817. I would like to point out a much simpler alternative for others who may be thinking about doing this. If you drilled a few holes in the battery-compartment cover of the FT-817, you could leave the T1's display/switch board attached to the ATU. This would eliminate the ribbon cables and the small front panel box you used on top of the rig. This might be seen as less convenient during operation, since you'd have to tilt the radio up to look at the T1's LEDs or press its switches. But most of this inconvenience goes away if you have the T1's FT-817 adapter cable. Once you've tuned up the antenna on all bands, you no longer need to see the T1's LEDs or push its switches when changing bands. The T1, via this adapter, automatically tracks the band changes at the rig. 73, Wayne N6KR G8IFF/KC8NHF wrote: > Details can be found here: > http://www.ngunn.net/cyberworld/hamradio/t1/index.html --- http://www.elecraft.com _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. There is no need to use the archive.org copy of the page. The working URL
is http://www.kk7p.com/k2kpa100.html - Rob KE7EAG K2 #5004 (almost finished) On Mon, 09 Jan 2006 06:10:55 -0800, Fabian Kurz <[hidden email]> wrote: > On Mon, Jan 09, 2006 at 10:34:35PM +0900, a.yoshida wrote: >> Is there any one who knows correct URL for the following. >> >> http://www.fidalgo.net/~wa7gxd/k2kpa100.html > > archive.org has several versions of that website archvived, the last > one being from February 2005 telling that the page has moved to the > (now nonexisting) kk7p.com domain. > > But there is a version from October 2004, which can be found here: > http://web.archive.org/web/20041011001751/http://www.fidalgo.net/~wa7gxd/k2kpa100.html > (long URL, I hope it gets through OK, if not: http://tinyurl.com/884wv ). > > 73, _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
