If you get a chance, listen for KL7AA, the Anchorage Amateur Radio Club, in
Field Day. We will be on SSB and CW and over time on all bands that will
sustain contacts...80-10 although I don't expect much from anything above 20
meters. We will be operating 5 stations to provide the opportunity for all
amateurs no matter what skill level to participate.
Satellite Station
CW
GOTA (Get on the Air) Good for beginning Hams and those wanting to learn more
about Amateur Radio
DIGITAL PSK31 and Packet
SSB
We will be running triband beams on our ARES Power/Tower trailers with the
antennas up about 40 feet. We will be using tall verticals for 80/40.
AL1G, Corliss (Alaska GAP station) and her husband, Frank, KL7FH, will be
managing and operating the CW station for the event.
We could have up to five stations on the air on different modes and the Red
Cross is going to set up their RED CROSS Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) on
site and operate with us.
Should be fun.
