KPA 100 T2 Winding Problem

raycollins
I'm constructing the KPA 100 and I'm having difficulty in threading the correct number of turns (4 loops of grey wire) onto the binocular coil former T2.   I've managed it eventually but it was quite a struggle and I'm wondering if I've done something wrong!  Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: KPA 100 T2 Winding Problem

Ray,

That last turn can be difficult, especially if the other turns are not
aligned "just right".  I have a tapered stainless steel probe that I
often use to compress those first turns a bit and make a hole for that
last turn.  A piece of #12 solid copper wire would do the same thing.  I
would not recommend using a wooden stick because it might break inside
the hole and would be difficult to remove.
