A couple of people mentioned this so I took an insulated alignment tool and
poked between the fins and sure enough...this is where 90% of the hot air
escapes. (the other 10% enters through the microphone and exits through the
SO-239!).

If you look closely, you'll see that the ribs on the top leave spaces at the
end of the heat sink closest to the front of the K2 for air to flow through.
