KPA 500

The KPA 500 transmits on all bands except 40 mtrs (cw). notice that when i put it into operate and view the power there is no asterisk before the power output. which shows the same power that is set on the K3 (30 watts). it show a minus sign.
 Need a little help with this problem.....

Any chance you have split turned on on the K3 and it is transmitting
out-of-band?  The KPA500 measures the incoming frequency and won't amplify
an out-of-band signal.
