I've been trying to make the SWR bridge Null adjustment. R26 and R27 are
tuned to 43K. I'm connected to a dummy load. When I go into tune mode on 40 meters I continue to get a high current warning and the display reads .1 watts and swr 1.0:1. I removed the board from the heat sink and checked connections, solders and component orientation twice. The unit is solid and works fine without the KPA connection I believe. I'm lost. Any ideas? _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. Does it work at all on other bands? Try to see if you have output on at
least 4 other bands - if it works on some, let us know which ones. With the ribbon cable plugged in and the base K2 powered (but NOT the KPA100), measure with your ohmmeter from KPA100 TP2 to the antenna jack. Do that for all bands - you should find continuity in all cases. Look visually for the simple stuff (often hard to spot) like the red wire through T4 to the antenna connector (is it connected on both ends), is the bare wire from the ant jack center wired to the board? Do you have well stripped and tinned toroid leads in the Low Pass Filter? Tell us what you find with the continuity measurements. 73, Don W3FPR > -----Original Message----- > From: [hidden email] > [mailto:[hidden email]]On Behalf Of Smythe > Sent: Friday, December 22, 2006 8:38 PM > To: [hidden email] > Subject: [Elecraft] KPA - High current > > > I've been trying to make the SWR bridge Null adjustment. It is happening on all bands (the high curr reading. I will make the
suggested resistance measurements today. I assume you mean to check resistance from TP2 to the "center lead" of the antenna jack. Or which portion of the jack? By continuity I assume you mean little if any resistance. Correct?
