In the Alignment and Installation section of the Rev E manual I may have a problem with the resistance tests in the table on page 43.
J3 resistance to ground, after about 20 seconds is okay (6.6K which is > 5K). However, Q1 and Q2 collector to ground start at about 30K but decrease over a similar time to only about 8K (significantly less than the required 10K).
Also the final test, D13 cathode to ground increases to about 9.4K after a similar time (which is still less than the require 10K).
Any thoughts on what might be wrong or are these reading okay to move forward to the powered test? I'd rather not fry things before I even get started! Thanks for any help.
Resistance measurements of components other than resistors depend to a certain extent on the meter. I personally would not regard the differences you have noted as significant. But check with Elecraft support if you would prefer a definitive answer.
