KPA100

Hallo,

 

Ik ben op dit moment bezig met het afregelen van de KPA100.

Het gaat ergens mis met het laag doorlaatfilter in QRP mode.

Volgens mij zitten de juiste spoeltjes en C'tjes op de juiste plaats.

 

Wie (het liefst uit de omgeving van Amsterdam) kan mij helpen.

Normaal gesproken heb ik genoeg geduld om problemen beschreven

als bovenstaand op te lossen.

Helaas, door familieperikelen ben ik nu aardig gestrest en

kan ondersteuning goed gebruiken.

He who (kindest from the surroundings of Amsterdam) me can help. Normally
said I have tolerated enough for problems described as above to solve.
Unfortunately, family problems are I now nice gestrest and support can use
well.

I think we'll need a better translation before I can help much, but maybe
someone else has a better translation tool (or source language guess - I
tried Dutch).

Als I translater correct, u probleem met lage pasfilter heeft. Ik zou
voorstellen controlerend dat toroids zijn connceted. De meeste problemen
zijn hier becase de draad niet gestript is.

Hi Peter

I'll answer in English as it is the more common language for the reflector.

You wrote that you are in the setup/test /tuning phase of the KPA100 and
somehow have a problem with the LowPassFilter in the QRP mode. To your
opinion the inductors (toroids) and capacitors are correctly installed.

Can you describe in more detail the nature of the problem, and what you
meant by QRP-mode?
Does it occur with power setting below 10 Watts? (in that case the
KPA100 acts as an lowpassfilter and SWR/measurement; you might check the
soldering of the pins from the realis K1 and K2).
Does it occur with power medium power setting (11W or more)? (in that
case the full circuit of the KPA100 will be used).

NB In my K2 I switched some dark grey and black cores in the filter
section. In the basic K2 the result was low power on some bands.  
Rewinding and reinstalling the toroids fixed my problem.
A mix up of the cores in the KPA100 at medium power level could result
in higher output from the actual PA to reach the medium level after the
low pass filter. In other words you might see the desired output at the
antenna connector but with a combination of unneeded drive/gain in K2
and PA plus attenuation in the lowpassfilter of the KPA100.
