KPA500 1.23 f/w released

Eric Swartz - WA6HHQ
Administrator
KPA500 f/w 1.23 was released earlier this month. . Its strongly
recommended KPA500 users upgrade to 1.23 for best performance. For
release notes etc see: http://www.elecraft.com/KPA500/kpa500_software.htm

Re: KPA500 1.23 f/w released

Sebastian, W4AS
I had to go hunting on the ftp site in order to find this, as the KPA Utility didn't find it.

Now I have a problem but only on 6 meters.  I get a PA DISS message on the KPA500, the utility reads it as "Power amplifiers are dissipating excessive power".

I see an erratic display on my K3 when I press the XMIT button.  It shows the SWR and power going up and down.

Going back to 1.18 didn't solve the issue.

Why did I do this just before the January VHF contest?

Again, this is only on 6 meters.  Any ideas?

Where are firmware releases announced?

Hisashi T Fujinaka
The only way I hear about firmware releases is when people have problems
with them. Is there a mailing list for firmware releases? Is my spam
filter eating them?

Thanks for any help.

Hisashi,

Normally Eric or Wayne or Paul post a firmware update (or beta release)
notice here on the reflector.
Sorry you are not seeing them.  It might be wise to check your spam folder.

You can check the software page:
http://www.elecraft.com/software/elecraft_software_page.htm
When there is a new item, I see a "New" icon and then use the link to
find the new information.

    http://www.elecraft.com/KX3/KX3_software.htm

then

    http://www.elecraft.com/KX3/kx3_app_notes.htm

and the new builder alert is at the top of the page.  Operating tips are
the next set of items.
