Hi Guys:
I completed and fired up my KPA500 yesterday. it worked absolutely fine on the 2 or 3 bands I tried. Today, when I go frm STBY to OPER, I get the hard "270V Error". The interlock is ok, and that is the only thing the manual suggests as a possible problem,. I only found one example in the archives, and that led nowhere. Can anyone suggest what I should be looking for? Tnx. 73 de Brian W3BW *Brian F. Thanks, Ron.
I disassembled the top and left side panels and reassembled. I did the test you suggested on the interlock, and the fault was still there. However, after I reassembled it, it worked for awhile, then gave the fault again. I cleared the fault, and I now have it working at very low power into a dummy load. I will report any return of the problem, but I sense there is still something intermittent going on. Standby ... Now, it is good into the KAT500 and from there into an antenna, at full power. Weird, but I like having it back. 73, Brian *Brian F.
