Re: KPA500 Firmware loading VERY long

Nicolas Drin
Many thanks for the answers but even with another computer  (PC) and another cable, I was not able to load the new firmware (and the older too).
I had this message that I send to elecraft support....

Wait and see...

Elecraft K3/KRX3 for sale

Scott Manthe-2
For sale: K3/100 SN 3019, with auto tuner, 13k, 6k, 2.8k, 500hz, 200hz
filters. KXV3, KBP3, MH2, KUSB and the KRX3, which is uninstalled, but
comes with 13k, 2.7 and 500hz filters. I'm preparing to install the KRX3
(which I bought used off this list from W8CRH), but if someone would
like to buy it in it's current form, and install it themselves that is
fine as well. I'm going to want about $3300, plus shipping for the rig
and KRX3. I'm also selling my KPA500 and might knock a few bucks off a
package deal. Here are the details:

      K3/100, SN 3019 configuration:
         KAT3
         KBPF3
         KXV3
         MH2
         KUSB
         KFL3A-13K, 8-pole
         KFL3A-6K, 8-pole
         KFL3A-2.8K, 8-pole
         KFL3A-500, 5-pole
         KFL3A-200, 5-pole

KRX3, (not installed in K3):
         KFL3A-13K, 8-pole
         KFL3A-2.7K, 5-pole
         KFL3A-500, 5-pole

Thanks and 73,
Scott, N9AA

Try restarting your mac.   You may also want to check the serial device.
Remove and reload serial device drivers.   Looks like communications really
aren't working between devices.

Why is it this list insists on responding to the poster and not the
list!!!!  EVERY TIME I reply, it goes to a single person and has to be
reposted for the group.

For the OP, upload to the KPA takes a minute or two.  I didn't time it.
The progress bar just kept moving, so I was happy.  It's not making it
if it takes a long time.  Did mine last night.

I run T-bird and Firefox.  If I do "Reply" on the Elecraft list, it goes
to the poster, not the list.  If I right-click on the message and select
"Reply to list," it goes to the list.

This is not a Yahoo! group, it's a mailman list. mailman has options

If you think the wrong choice has been made for this list, you

Hi Iain,

When I see a word whose definition eludes me I usually Google it for a quick Urban Dictionary or Wiki definition. A word of caution, if you don't know what Munging means you are going to want to Google "Data Munging".

RE: Elecraft K3 for sale

tbranton

Good morning Scott,

I’m interested.  A couple of quick questions:

Are you the first owner?  Factory or kit built?  Approximately how old is the rig? I am going to do a quick check on the Elecraft site so I know exactly what you have on the rig.  Have a photo or two?

I have learned the hard way to work quickly on these.  I have missed a couple by minutes.
