Will I be able to use the KPA500 on MARS Frequencies?
MARS frequencies can be just about anywhere between 1.8MHz and 30MHz outside the USA Amateur Radio Bands. 73, Tom Amateur Radio Operator N5GE ARRL Lifetime Member QCWA Lifetime Member ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Yes. The KPA500 works on all frequencies between 1.8 and 54 MHz except for 26-28 MHz.
The latter, of course, is prohibited by FCC regulations. Hello Jack,
We don't have the 26-28Mhz restriction here in Hong Kong. Can the KPA500 be modified to deliver full 500W in 28Mhz? I would hope that the KPA500 works with the same frequency range as the K3
for MARS. There are quite a few frequencies allocated for MARS usage that fall between that 26-28Mhz. The K3 has the opened up range just about perfect.
