Had 1.18, it exhibits this error, easily reproduced. I went back to 1.11 and the problem goes away. Rig is running 4.60 ... I didn't go to 4.61 since it does nothing for this issue and the single feature it has over 4.60 isn't worth the flash cycle. I'm actually waiting for the day when the KPA500 band select buttons can be set to act as band-stacking register controls on the K3. Another commented observed something about standby and not wanting exciter power in that mode ... ... of course, but, my amp is configured to power up in OPER mode. I suspect so is George's. Manually cycling to STBY is ... well, manual. The rig goes to regular output power when the KPA500 is set to STBY mode with v1.11 or newer; that's not the issue being discussed. Steve KZ1X *** I believe 1.15 had the issue, and 1.18 is the latest revision that should have fixed the issue. Steve,
Some are having the problem it seems, I did and somehow I fiddled long enough it got tired of playing with me, or maybe it took pity on an old man and quit...:-) FW sure is a 'Black Art' at times, or so it seems. For now, mine is behaving, I know not why, but it's playing in the sand box nicely and that is a good thing. 73's Gary On 21 December 2012 10:15, Steve Jackson <[hidden email]> wrote: > Gary > > Had 1.18, it exhibits this error, easily reproduced. > > I went back to 1.11 and the problem goes away. > > Rig is running 4.60 ...
