KPA500 won't key on 17M

*I wonder if the original request for information was a result of having
CW+SSB turned ON, AND the K3 was in split?

I just checked and mine does the same thing.

With split active, CW+SSB does not allow the K3 to TX, the Red LED remains
OFF but the SPlit indicator LED is lit and the K3 LCD displays SPLIT.

Just a thought, but I don't recall having read that restriction in the
manual.

The same occurs on all bands of course, 17M may have been used in split
when trying to contact NH8S?

Yes this happen to me while trying to work split and running between RTTY, SSB and CW.
