Not a sound from them (KPH), on either 80 or 40, around 2200 hrs PT (0500z).  Maybe they broke it of and joined the festivities.

Carry on

---------------------------------
The skip must have got you, Bill. Too bad. K6KPH was working lists on 3545
with RD at the key at 0500. I worked them at 0503 and there was quite a
line-up.

Too many ops didn't understand the Q-codes and when KPH sent PSE  QRX OM QRY
3 OK? they didn't realize they were being asked to stand by (QRX) and that
they they were third in line to be called for a QSO (QRY 3). So, at times it
was a bit chaotic when the calling station started with ??? followed by a
contact exchange while K6KPH was trying to make a list, Hi!

For anyone who missed out this time, it's great fun to work those guys and
an excellent chance for ops to see how a "pileup" is worked by a
professional (which ops like RD were for years). He was on a straight key at
about 10 wpm, which was not unusual for shore station ops on the commercial
maritime circuits to be sure they are easily understood by the other op.

For those who might not know the Q-Codes, get a copy and follow along next
time. It's great fun to see someone smoothly handling chaos without the
time-wasting endless pile-ups some DX-peditions deal with.
